Indeed, there was no better place to be than at the LFMA 2015.  An amazing ministration by a young girl reciting Isaiah 60 was one of many performances that sent the audience into a series of emotional responses from laughter all the way to tears, with hands lifted high.

Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo SAN flanked by his wife Pastor Mrs Dolapo and Mama Osinbajo at the Villa Chapel during a thanksgiving service in Abuja.  Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo formally took over the leadership of the Villa Chapel on Sunday.
The chapel was built by the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo. The chapel had always been controlled by a president or vice-president of Christian faith as the political head, while the president’s or vice-president’s chaplain is the spiritual head. Former President Goodluck Jonathan would have handed over the chapel to Osinbajo penultimate Sunday when he attended service in the worship centre for the last time but for the vice-president’s absence.IMG_4981
Osinbajo attended service in the chapel for the first time yesterday accompanied by his wife, Dolapo; Bishop Wale Oke of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries; Senior Pastor, Living Waters Unlimited Church, Pastor Ladi Thompson and other clergymen.
The vice-president, who himself is a pastor, delivered a goodwill message to the congregation and did the benediction.
He later proceeded to the children church where he prayed and took photographs with the children, along with members of his entourage.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode on Sunday reiterated his commitment to ensure that no one is left behind as his administration strives to better the lot of residents in the state in the next four years.
The Governor who spoke at the 7th Edition of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Apapa Family, Excel Programme held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), assured that all residents of Lagos will be catered for, however urging them to support his government.
“As we embark on this journey, no one irrespective of colour, race status ability or disability would be left behind as we march progressively towards the destination of our collective destiny. Herein lies our strength today I ask you that we join hands as we move Lagos and Nigeria to a higher level on the wind of change”, the Governor said in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Habib Aruna.
Stressing that his victory at the April 11 elections was the handiwork of God and the support of the people, Governor Ambode said he is committed to using the mandate to change the lives of people in Lagos.
“This would not have been possible but for the love, mercy, and divine favour of our God. I thank you for all your support particularly towards peaceful elections that was held across the nation. I am eternally grateful to God for what he has done and still does in my life. It is now my responsibility to use this position to show forth his goodness by touching as many lives as possible through selfless purpose driven service”.
While thanking the RCCG Apapa Family for its intervention and support to about 500 schools in Lagos, he said the projects would in no small way boost the confidence of the state’s educational system.
The Governor also assured that the state government will ensure that such projects imitated by the church in the schools will be sustained going forward.
“I must commend your bold initiatives and numerous successes over the years. The church has made significant progress, in improving the society. Your various intervention projects which cut across every strata of human and social development and is highly commendable. For instance your school intervention project to equip 500 primary school libraries across the 57 LGs is a case in point. This would no doubt breathe hope and confidence in our educational system.
“Going forward, I want to assure you of sustained partnership and support from the government of Lagos. Interestingly your vision is propelled by determined focused and desire for transformative change in the society”.
He commended the RCCG Apapa Family, of which he is a part of, for the Excel Programme which has grown in leaps in bounds since the first edition, saying the programme had foretold of the imminent change in the country.
“Your choice of theme in the last three editions is indicative of your prophetic affirmation of a positive change in the polity. Since 2008 you have consistently brightened our world with awesome messages of hope and aspiration. The theme of this year “Riding on the wings of Change” aptly sums up our expectation and collective desire as individuals and a nation.
“You exemplify change in its totality. No meaningful is achieved without a purpose driven change. You have played an active part of the change sweeping through our country today. More than ever before my prime focus and concern would be to serve diligently our teeming masses in every way possible”.
In his address, Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, spoke about faithfulness in all human endeavours, stating that the Nigerian Society presently lacks faithful men and women.
The Vice President who backed up his address with anecdotes on how diligence and faithfulness can lift a man said the nation needs faithful man and women who can be trusted to do the right things and can also be honest and diligent.
“There are many people who are bright and intelligent but what we lack are faithful men and women. Men and women who can be trusted to do the right things, who can be honest, diligent and who can do what needs to be done”.
“If you are a security man, if you are a driver, you need faithfulness in the little things that you are doing. It is that faithfulness and loyalty to what it is that you are doing that will set you out. That is the change that our nation needs and we as children would not only be harbingers of hat change but would be that change”, he also said.
In his sermon, General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye urged political office holders to use their position to change the story of Nigeria, just as he assured that Nigeria will continue to march forward with the present crop of leaders.
